Radiator People Released 1997

THE SOUND IS CHANGING! The opening declaration of “State Of The Union” became the memorandum from there on out! This album is the culmination of heavy touring and musical growth. Armed with an array of influences, seasoned chops, and well crafted songs, Radiator People was a tour de force for Who Cares in the 90’s. Several songs on this album became fan favorites over the years including “State Of The Union,” the hippie friendly “Backyard” and “Fertile Spot,” the ska oriented “K-6” and the blitzkrieg of “Habit.” This album even featured “Out The Door,” a dark moody jazz instrumental. Radiator People was engineered and recorded by Jim Sabella and produced by Dave Fitzhugh from Yolk and the members of Who Cares. The reviews for the album were extremely positive. The band was given the first triple AAA rating in Newsday’s LI Sounds and was even given the title “Masters Of Styles” in another review. “K-6” was featured on the LI Ska Compilation and earned the band regular spots on big shows in LI and NYC. This album propelled the band to regional scene favorites and a spot on SXSW in 1998. In 2018 the band performed a reunion show and played the entirety of Radiator People from start to finish. The audience's reaction was incendiary.
