Mike Jusino has been emphatically playing the guitar for over 30 years. Mike first picked up the guitar at around 11 years of age and hadn't put it down since. He began guitar lessons with Danny Marx at Focus II Guitar Center in middle school. Later in high school, he studied Jazz Guitar with Dave Burns and Marc Elf at Long Island High School for the Arts (formally BOCES cultural arts center). He also studied classical guitar with Stephen Leonard at NCC. Mike has performed at various music festivals including SXSW (Austin, Texas), CMJ (NYC) and the Millennium Conference (Harrisburg, PA).
Mike is also an accompanist for “Music for Aardvarks” a children's music program. He currently teaches Guitar, Bass and Ukulele privately and at New York Music Emporium in Bellmore, Ny.
Michael’s projects have included the bands Who Cares, The Signal, Tragic Kingdom, New York’s Most Dangerous Big Band, Undercover, Then & Now, Stiflers Mom, Artificial Flavor and The Dylan Matthews Band. He has also proudly shared the bill with groups including Candlebox, Liz Phair and Barenaked Ladies.
